Eyeing the Storm

This painting was inspired primarily by the beauty and power that I find in a Wolf's gaze - they don't look AT you, they look INTO you - and they assess your physical, mental, and Spiritual strength in a heartbeat.

That gaze can create a storm of emotions in people.

The painting was also inspired by the storm of opinion that swirls around these important creatures. People are rarely ambivalent about Wolves - they either love them or hate them. And neither emotion is good for the Wolf.
