I watched this bull elk bugle across the open country, his call carrying through the air and marking the height of the rut. There’s strength and intensity in that moment, but also a deep connection to the land and the rhythm of the season. I wanted to capture the sound, the movement, and the raw presence of an animal doing exactly what it has done for generations.
